Literally the same day I got rear ended. His wreck was much worse than mine. The F150 in the background blew through a red light and plowed into him. Like I said earlier, he is ok.

Any idea how fast the truck was going? This could convince my dad that me buying a Miata doesn't mean I'll end up dead the next day, steamrolled by someone in a Suburban or something.

Geez man...I'm glad your friend is okay.

Such a damned shame about that Miata. What an amazing color. And it looks like he'd had some work done to it and put some love and care into. Any clue if insurance will give him enough to fully replace it?

He had plans of supercharging it; I'm not sure if the insurance will write it off though.

Being that he ran a red light, I'd assume a normal cruising speed 45-55 MPH maybe?
